[LEGAL PENDING] 1. Agreement

[LEGAL PENDING] These terms govern your use of Shipmunk's website and services, including package forwarding, shipping, and fulfilment. By using our services, or by asking us to handle a shipment on your behalf, you agree to these terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to do so.

[LEGAL PENDING] 2. Our role

[LEGAL PENDING] Shipmunk Logistics Pte. Ltd. is a freight forwarder and shipping agent. We arrange carriage through a mix of carriers, including courier, postal, and freight operators, chosen according to the service class, weight, and destination of each shipment. We are not the carrier itself. Carriage is also subject to the terms of the carrier actually used.

[LEGAL PENDING] We offer four service classes. The class that applies to your shipment is confirmed in your quote:

• Freight Express: for consignments over 68kg.
• Courier Express: door-to-door courier delivery for parcels up to 68kg.
• Postal Express: priority postal handling for parcels up to 30kg.
• Postal Parcel: standard postal delivery for parcels up to 30kg.

[LEGAL PENDING] 4. Quotes and pricing

[LEGAL PENDING] Quotes are based on the information you give us, including weight, dimensions, destination, and contents. Prices are quoted in the currency stated on your quote and include the charges we expect to apply, such as fuel surcharges and handling, unless stated otherwise.

[LEGAL PENDING] A quote may change if the actual weight or dimensions differ from those declared, if the contents differ from those described, if customs or regulatory charges apply, or if a shipment requires special handling. We will tell you before a charge is applied where we can.

[LEGAL PENDING] 5. Payment

[LEGAL PENDING] Payment is due before dispatch unless we have agreed credit terms with you in writing. We accept major credit cards and bank transfer. Where duties, taxes, or customs charges are payable, these are your responsibility unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.

[LEGAL PENDING] 6. Your responsibilities

• [LEGAL PENDING] Give us accurate and complete information about each shipment, including contents, value, weight, and dimensions.
• [LEGAL PENDING] Pack your goods so they withstand normal transit handling. We are not responsible for damage arising from inadequate packaging.
• [LEGAL PENDING] Ensure your shipment does not contain prohibited or restricted items.
• [LEGAL PENDING] Comply with the laws of the origin, transit, and destination countries.

[LEGAL PENDING] 7. Prohibited and restricted items

[LEGAL PENDING] You must not ship items that are prohibited by law or by the carriers we use. This includes, but is not limited to: hazardous and flammable materials, illegal drugs, firearms and weapons, live animals, human remains, counterfeit goods, and items that infringe intellectual property rights. Some items are restricted rather than prohibited and may be shipped only with correct documentation or declared handling. If a prohibited item is found, we may refuse it, return it, or dispose of it, and you remain responsible for any resulting costs, penalties, or losses.

[LEGAL PENDING] 8. Customs and duties

[LEGAL PENDING] Shipments crossing a border may be inspected and are subject to customs duties, taxes, and charges levied by the destination authority. These charges are the recipient's or sender's responsibility unless we agree otherwise in writing. We are not liable for delays caused by customs inspection or clearance.

[LEGAL PENDING] 9. Delivery estimates

[LEGAL PENDING] Any transit time we give you is an estimate, not a guarantee. Delivery can be affected by customs, carrier network conditions, weather, and events outside our control. We will tell you honestly what we expect, and we will keep you informed when something changes, but we do not promise a delivery date.

[LEGAL PENDING] 10. Liability

[LEGAL PENDING] Our liability for loss of or damage to a shipment is limited to the lesser of the declared value of the goods or the limits set by the carrier handling the shipment, unless a higher value has been declared and agreed with us in writing before dispatch. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profit or lost business.

[LEGAL PENDING] Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

[LEGAL PENDING] 11. Claims

[LEGAL PENDING] If a shipment is lost or damaged, tell us as soon as you become aware and in any case within 14 days of the expected delivery date. Claims must be supported by the shipment reference, proof of value, and photographs where relevant. We will investigate with the carrier and respond as quickly as we can.

[LEGAL PENDING] 12. Storage and abandoned goods

[LEGAL PENDING] Goods held at our facilities are stored free of charge for the period stated in your service agreement. After that period we may charge storage fees. If goods remain uncollected and unpaid for an extended period, and we cannot reach you after reasonable attempts, we may dispose of them and apply the proceeds against outstanding charges.

[LEGAL PENDING] 13. Suspension and termination

[LEGAL PENDING] We may suspend or end your access to our services if you breach these terms, if we are required to by law, or if continuing to serve you would expose us or a carrier to risk. You may stop using our services at any time; charges already incurred remain payable.

[LEGAL PENDING] We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continuing to use our services after an update means you accept the revised terms.

[LEGAL PENDING] 15. Governing law

[LEGAL PENDING] These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
